Instructions oral test:

English 3 – 20% – Speaking Task – “Describing your life through photos”

INDICATOR– Describe your social network’s timeline (real or fictitious) by showing pictures and explaining where and when were they taken, who was with you and what were you doing in a 3-minute presentation.

SITUATION – You met a relative that you haven’t seen in a long time and he wants to know about your life; then you tell him about it while you show pictures of your social network’s timeline.

INSTRUCTIONS

1.    If you have a social network, you can choose 3-4 pictures from your timeline. If you don’t have one, you can create the timeline yourself.

2.    You will work individually.

3.    You can use any visual and technological aid to show the pictures.

4.    You must explain the context of the pictures by saying when they were taken and what happened in the pictures.

Criteria                                            Descriptor

Vocabulary:    Lexicon related to activities, places and time expressions are used.

Pronunciation:   Speaks smoothly, with little hesitation and adequate pronunciation that does not interfere with communication.

Communication Skills:  The context of each picture is present and the timeline is understandable.

Structures:  The discourse is coherent with the actions presented in the timeline.

Task Completion:  The presentation describes the student’s photo timeline and provides contextual details about each picture.
